Thank you to all who applied for the position of Referee for the Spring 2010 soccer season, and all who attended our classroom training. We have a good crew of referees this season, and I am looking forward to working with each one of you. I will post the schedule soon after I receive the league schedules from Kathy. You will find the link to our schedule to the right at the bottom of the links.
Thank you,
Cameron Kruzel, Referee Director
What do I need to be a referee?
1. You must be available between 8:30 AM and 12:00 PM on Saturday mornings. That is when all of our games are played.
2. You must be a strong and confident individual. Spectators and coaches will question your calls, it is a part of the job. Make the call and move on.
3. You should enjoy being around young children. Maintain constructive communication with the players throughout the game for a positive experience for everyone involved.
We will have a classroom training session before the start of each season for all new and young referees. There, we will go over general guidelines and expectations, as well as take a written exam over the Laws of the Game. After the classroom training, we will be conducting field training where each referee will be shown practical, in-game situations and how to best handle them.
How will I be prepared as a referee?
